Do you find yourself writing about the same things more than once on your blog? I seem to do this all the time. Looking back I see where I have posted about similar topics and didn’t even realize it. Maybe its good to see how an idea can mature and be developed as you go along. Perhaps its a subject or idea that just needs reinforcing.
I just hope it doesn’t mean I am running out of ideas to post about therefore potentially boring you, my followers.
Thank you for letting me follow your blog and to know more about your world. I appreciate the connections we are making through blogging. I hope this makes us all better people.
When facing a daunting task its good to take it one bite at a time. Eating a meal requires one bite at a time. A bite can be something smaller than its whole. Bites can leave a mark that can leave behind some of you. A vampire only needs a bite to change someone into a vampire themselves or perhaps to suck the blood out of someone. It only took a spiders bite to create a superhero. A bite can do a lot of things…both good and not so good.
In school and pretty much through life I have never been popular. It’s something that hasn’t bothered me except I do like being included in things or thought of. Personally I don’t think I could handle being the “IT” person or the guy everyone raves about. Something about being popular is similar to narcissism or something like that. Popularity has its good points but it can also be a curse. Being well known isn’t all its cracked up to be if you see how some folks live with their own fame.
Were/are you popular in your circle of friends or community?
It’s interesting how one can post only one thing one day and post many things the next. Blogging is funny that way. Everyone runs out of creative juice then creativity rains from above and you can’t stop yourself from writing and posting. Post frequency is as individual as anything and every person is different in their view of how much to post and when to post it.
For me I post when the lightning strikes and inspiration presents itself. So you might see an endless stream of posts or none at all. Remember its your blog and you make the rules. Be mindful to not overwhelm your readers too often, they might unfollow you. Of course it all depends on when the mood is right and you gotta be ready to post on whatever device is handy.
When you decide to re-blog your own stuff or take an old post and freshen it up a bit that can be a good thing. An old post can be seen in a new light by new eyes who are just now discovering your blog.
When your creative juices are running low, you can find inspiration from things you have done before. Be careful not to get too repetitive but enjoy the process of introducing your followers to your blogging journey. I would advise doing a short introduction to the post you are re-blogging to set up context and to let folks know this is a golden oldie.
It can be fun to take a look back until new ideas for new posts come along.
