Crosspost #WordPress To #Bluesky

If you have a Bluesky account, you can cross-post your WordPress blog posts to that wildly popular microblogging site. Go to the connections section in your settings and follow the directions and it will get you going in no time. I post at Bluesky often at @tonyburgess1969.bsky.social so follow me there!

If you have your social network link icon widget up and going you can add your Bluesky handle to the links there too.

A Little Change-up Can Do Some Good

Change can be good for almost anything. So, I felt like my blog needed a little refreshing and perhaps something familiar at the same time. I have spent time changing my blog theme which I haven’t done in a while. I am using the 2016 WordPress Theme with some custom CSS to make it look like I want it to look which is white/light font on dark backgrounds. It is in keeping with my whole dark mode motif I have everywhere I can. I hope you check it out and your input is appreciated. Keep on blogging good people.

It’s My 18th Anniversary With WordPress.com

Each year that passes that I get these anniversary notices it’s remarkable. My blog is now an adult on this 18th anniversary. if you think about it. I haven’t always used this blog full-time but when I started it helped me be a better blogger. Thank you, WordPress.com for providing us amateurs a place to express, inform, and hopefully inspire. Keep on blogging good people.

Attention All Followers, Mostly From The Past

Tonight I was looking at the number of followers I have and there is large number of them but so many seem to be inactive. Blogging like anything I guess can be seasonal. I know there have been times when I haven’t felt like posting anything and then I get a spurt of creativity and inspiration.

This goes out to people who have been with me for eight or nine years, I hope you are doing well and living a good life. Check-in when you can. A new post would be good. Grace and peace. You are missed.

As I say often Keep on Blogging!

Viral On Threads, Boring On WordPress?

A post from my Threads feed https://www.threads.net/@tonyburgess1969

I think I have been blogging consistently for 15 years or so. In that time I have never had any post get more than the number of likes I got on this post on the Threads platform which is run by the folks of Instagram/Meta. This post about celebrating Hanukkah has gotten 928 plus likes and 44 replies That is what I call a viral response.

No blog post on any of the blogging platforms I have used has even come close to that number. I even use tags on my blog posts to reach a wider audience. I am just wondering if I have become stale to my blogging audience? This is just something I am wondering about.
