Creative Blast: Charisma in Character
A preacher, a musician, a poet, an actor, an athlete all have the power to command your attention and to influence you. You see them on a stage and you find yourself looking up to them. They have charisma and character that moves you. How you react to their message is totally up to you. Some you pay to see others you view for free. You give them your time and treasure to see what they will do. You follow them and wait to see what they do and say next.
They are in your hearts and on your minds all the time. They have your attention. Every move they make you will know it from your social feed. These people become part of you.
Personality is a powerful thing and you find yourself wanting to copy them. Being in their presence is a religious experience bordering on obsession. If they offer merch you wear it, own it and it becomes a uniform that you wear in solidarity with others who are doing the exact same thing.
How do you break free or why would you want to?
Thought Of The Day
The desire to post something profound and meaningful is not happening at the moment. Maybe in itself that is profound.
In The Comments
Do you ever wonder about people who write out long essays in posts about the most innocent things? Think about how much time these folks spend coming up with responses that seem to be disrespectful and angry.
It seems Facebook, Instagram and Twitter where this happens most. One could do a demographic analysis and come up with conclusions that can affirm a profile of people who seem to do this sort of thing the most.
It’s amazing what they say and makes you wonder if it’s from a place of fear or facts. Don’t dive into the comments, if you do it might leave one sad and bewildered.
People Helping People
Making ones living upon the good graces and cooperation of others is tough. You having to balance the demands of business with the availably of people in the process. One has to be delicate and understanding. Empathy and sympathy are both needed to connect with people.
Using good communication skills and experience are very helpful. Of course it requires sticking to it in order to be successful. Ultimately it’s asking people to help people and to add urgency into the mix.
Having goals and meeting quotas in this situation are another conversation. Keep those metrics in mind though.
Daily Prompt – Word Of The Day: Hope
Hope is a strong thing. It’s something people hold dear. Without hope many struggle to keep going. Anticipating that things will happen in a certain way is universal. Hope can give us strength or disappointment depending on the situation. Hope for the best results but prepare for the worst. Either way hope drives us and keeps us going. My friends hope for a better today and tomorrow.
