Control

I had no control over how and when I was born.

I had no control over how and where I was raised.

I had no control over my skin tone or race.

I have control over the person I am and will be.

I have control over the things I do and say.

I have control over my attitude and latitude.

Yet there are some things you control.

Some things you don’t.

Some things you can’t.

Keep control until you don’t have it anymore.

YABAR – Yet Another Blog About Reblogging

OK, perhaps I am just overreacting and making a mountain out of a mole hill about this reblogging thing.

Here are a couple of ground rules for my followers…

  1. DO NOT reblog personal posts that include family and other personal pictures.
  2. Ask for permission if there is something original I have written that sounds academic or poetic or something that could be used to advance my life and career.
  3. Other posts are OK including my music posts and other posts about current events, culture, etc.

Maybe that will eliminate unnecessary drama and angst on my part. I really wanna play well with others and perhaps have some of my stuff get the eyeballs and ears of others across the blogosphere.

Hello Saturday

Good Saturday to you all. I hope we all have a great day and that we will enjoy all the things. Today is an ideal day to blog about what’s going on as we head into a new season. How is life going  and how are you celebrating Mother’s Day?  If you haven’t posted in awhile now is the time.

Have a great day everyone. Keep on blogging

Adulting

Do I have to do grown up things today like work and pay bills? If I have to I will. Kids don’t be in a hurry to grow up, some days it’s overrated .

Working Hard For Your Approval

We all try to impress people whether we admit it or not. Life sometimes is about trying to make people like us or to show them we are worthy of attention. There does come a time in life when we stop trying to impress people and just try to do what is right by ones self. People want to be liked and loved ya know but at what cost? I think self esteem is an issue that everyone struggles with and we have to market ourselves to others for their approval. What do you think?

Rambling About My Blogging Philosophy, In Short

My blogging philosophy is to pay attention to the world around you and inspiration will strike. I also do a lot of life streaming where I post about things that are going on at the moment. There are a few things I do as a routine when posting such as Music Mondays, Tunes Tuesdays, Throwback Thursday and Flashback Fridays that sort of thing. I will schedule some posts ahead of time if there is a theme I want to explore and to create some continuity. Blogging to me is an organic activity that needs to flow and breathe as life goes on and as the situations of life arise. Of course to keep a blog alive you have to keep on blogging.
