Understanding can build bridges and connections where as shaming is about destruction of spirit and soul. I think people need to be more sensitive to the plight of others and that their circumstances are sometimes out of their control. We live in a very diverse world where no two people encounter life in an identical way. Opening your heart and mind can go a long way into creating peace both communally and individually. Maybe this is the door to peace?

Something About Waiting
All of us spend a good amount of our lives waiting on something or someone. There are times we find ourselves hanging out in places like this. Somewhat uncomfortable chairs, vending machines and free coffee are standard equipment to help keep you comfortable or something like that. Patience is indeed a virtue when you are holding close to a loved one during a time of convalescing and healing. The waiting can be the hardest part though.
Something About Family
I am a believer in family. Sometimes a family is not always what has been considered traditional, you know the husband and wife with 2.5 kids, the nuclear family that has been so sought after in the past. We live in a time when family is sometimes chosen, adopted and same gender. Several couples I know fit the non-traditional family unit and without doubt there is love and connection there. I can say that those good people I know are blessed to have each other.
A family can be a couple, a couple with kids, a couple with fur kids or a group of friends who have a serious bond with one another. In my mind it’s all good. Family can keep you sane and it can keep you accountable. Not everyone has a family unit they can fully rely on so they need support from friends and others to help keep them going.
You know its great when you have that support and that affection and those couples have it. One specific couple is going through some things today and it looks like one spouse will be on the mend after some serious surgery. It is good that they had the right to marry so they could be secure in making decisions for one another in case of impairment plus health care and spousal rights.
So, no matter what the family looks like its theirs and it is very unique and its special. Family is something that matters and will carry our world and its communities forward. Celebrate the family no matter what it might look like because we need more love in the world.
Something About Mistakes And Being Sorry
Everyone screws up, it’s a terminal condition of being human beings. You will make a mistake every now and then and you know its OK. We will hurt others or do other things we truly regret. Thinking about what you are about to do can minimize life’s errors. However there are sometimes the failure to think can really impact your life and the lives of others. We live in a hyper-connected world today and your mistakes could be online in minutes.
You gotta be careful. Something you do might impact someone seriously. A best practice when one does something wrong its good to admit responsibility, say you are sorry then move on and hope a lesson has been learned. However there is always the possibility you will repeat the same mistake which happens. I am not always good about learning my lessons, so I have been told. I tend to be sorry even for things I didn’t do which is a serious quirk I have. Remember no one is perfect. No one, sorry to say.
Something About Connecting
It’s amazing that if you have a great many followers that you only seem to get a fraction of them interacting. Sometimes having more following means less connecting. Quality seems to be the ideal whereas quantity is not all it’s cracked up to be. So the more the merrier might not apply in every situation.
For a personal blogger the rules are different than that of a business or commercial blogger. Making friends is something they both want to do but for different reasons. I have a lot of followers but seem to connect with just a small portion of those who are following. It’s funny how that works.
Something About A Harry Potter Weekend On TV
Nothing says Memorial Day weekend like a Harry Potter Marathon on TV. Here’s to all the wizards and witches who gave all at the Battle of Hogwarts. #Hufflepuff #Magic
