My grandmother had a sweet tooth. From cake frosting to York Peppermint Patties. She was a great cook too and made some terrific sweets during the holidays and for family meals. My wife gets the credit for picking these up at Walmart this evening. Tonight she is honored by having these. I miss her, every day.

My grandmother passed away two years ago today and joined the company of Saints in eternity. I miss her every day and remember the great times I had with her. She was a woman who loved her Lord, her family, her friends and made a difference in my life.

Happy Fall to everyone in the Northern Hemisphere. I hope the temperatures around my part of the world cools off. We have seen many many days of 90 degree weather. It’s time for color on the trees and bowls of warm things to eat.

Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on 21 September. The General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples.
The Day’s theme for 2016 is “The Sustainable Development Goals: Building Blocks for Peace.”
My friends lets resolve to spend our lives seeking peace and love. We must reject violence, racism, bias, homophobia and hate. Our world is a fragile place where we all live together on the same planet. It must start in our hearts and spill out into our communities.
