On 14 June 2023, World Blood Donor Day will again be celebrated throughout the world. Officially designated as an annual event by the World Health Assembly in 2005, the Day provides a special opportunity to celebrate and thank voluntary blood donors around the world for their gift of blood and has become a major focus for action towards achieving universal access to safe blood transfusion.
You can’t legally donate someone else’s blood. Only your own.
As you may know I work for a blood bank. Today I donated once again to give the gift of life to 3 lives. Blood donation is an easy way to help others during the holiday season. Do something to make the world a better place.
It was another donation day at Blood Assurance. Today my blood type was needed because of a trauma situation in a local hospital. Giving saves lives and I’m always glad to give at the office.
Whenever you get to win, you feel the satisfaction of all of your hard work, all the sacrifices, all the blood, sweat and tears. It feels right and makes you realize that you are really doing the right thing.

The World Blood Donor Day is a reminder of the importance of blood donation as an act of solidarity. Every year on June 14, organizations around the world celebrate World Blood Donor Day, raising awareness of the importance of donating blood and saving lives.
I work for a blood bank and the need for a safe and adequate blood supply is a must. It’s life saving and it makes a difference to those who donate and receive blood donations.
