In The Comments

I try to be positive in my comments on posts. Some people you see come at ya with guns blazing. Maybe before commenting take a breath and contemplate who will be reading those responses. Perhaps I am too sensitive but comments can either lift you up or destroy ya.

I know I have talked about this before but sometimes you gotta repeat to reinforce and remind.

A Strong Commentary On A Charlie Brown Christmas

Warning, I am about to lay waste to a venerated Christmas treasure. “A Charlie Brown Christmas”

The girls in “A Charlie Brown Christmas” are really horrible. They come across as bitchy and make Charlie feel like a total failure. Charlie should have just said screw this and walked out. He was treated horribly and all he wanted to do is help. Toxic Christmas spirit courtesy of Charles Shultz.

In every holiday movie including Hallmark Christmas Movies, there is some direct influence from “A Charlie Brown Christmas” such as finding a director for the Christmas pageant, commercialism, crushes, and dogs.

Also, why must they call him by his full name all the time? Charlie or Chuck would be just fine.

Also, why in the hell is it only on Apple Plus. Its a Christmas treasure that should be shared far and wide.

I am going to hell for this right?

Freaky Fast Lunch, My Butt

Here I go again being ornery and stuff.

I ordered lunch today at 11:25 or something like that for a delivery at 12 to 12:15. Well it didn’t show up until 12:55. If my lunch was 10 to 15 minutes late, no problem. But almost 40 minutes late is just not right. I do know everyone is doing their best but there’s a threshold between running behind and flat out late.

Thank goodness it was a cold sandwich so the quality didn’t suffer much. I’m not going to order from there for a while. I’m grateful for restaurant staff however you have to deliver in a timely fashion.

A part of my receipt.

A Powerful Commentary on Coronavirus and Christians

I believe in God and science and when science tells me that wearing a mask is the right thing to do I will love my neighbors as myself and wear a mask. It’s an easy thing to do to ensure the well being of all those around me during this time of the Coronavirus. I wish others would take heed to the science which can save lives.

Not Feeling The Flag and Fireworks Right Now

I admit patriotism is the last thing on my mind with the suffering going on. COVID and racial unrest should be dealt with. As long as people are dying and treated like second-class citizens then the promise of this nation is not being fulfilled. To me the fourth this year will just be another day.

I say this not to disparage the service of veterans but to just say that fireworks and flags aren’t what should be our focus right now.

Digging In The Dirt

If you look on social media lots of things are coming to light. People who hid things in the shadows are being exposed. Past faults are brought into the present. All will be revealed. People are being “canceled” for their present and past sins. Seems there is a lot of digging in the dirt and lots of mud is being slung. Maybe we need to deal with the speck in our own eyes for a change.

None of us is perfect. Sure some incidents need to be exposed and there needs to be measured accountability for severe wrong doing. Contrition can help pave a new way forward. People deserve a second chance. Grace is good.

Acts of hate and terror must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and those who do those acts must be punished. People who do physical and emotional harm must be brought to swift justice.

We live in a conflicted, confrontational world these days. Do your best to be your best my friends. Make this world a better place for all.
