National Voter Registration Day is a nonpartisan civic holiday dedicated to celebrating our democracy. Be sure to have a plan to vote. Encourage your family and friends to get to the polls on November 5, 2024. All elections are important and the one in November is going to be an even bigger election to us all.
Today was local and state election day here in Tennessee. I did my civic duty and went to my local polling station to vote. We still do paper ballots with electronic tabulation here so I don’t get that thrill of going behind a curtain to a voting machine. Voting is as important for local and state races as it is for the federal and presidential races.
Americans, don’t forget to vote on November 5th. That’s a big one for reasons you know already.
To beat the Republicans, Democrats must get more souls to the polls. This is not the year to sit out. No matter who the Democrats settle on for a candidate, it will take all Democrats, independents, and never-Trump Republicans coming together. No matter what there must be a coalition of good people who will defeat MAGA. Democracy and true freedom are at stake.
Fifteen states and a U.S. territory hold their 2024 nominating contests on Super Tuesday this year. We went to the polls after work and voted on the Democratic ballot. Federal, state, and local races were on the ballot in many places. I couldn’t stomach voting for any Republican in their primary this year. They aren’t worth it. Maybe one day they will be redeemed. Democracy is important and always matters.
My civic duty is done once again. Voting is a good practice. Democracy survives when people go to the polls. Voting is also fun.
There was a line going out the door at our polling precinct. It is good to see that. We should know results sometime tonight for various races around the country.
It’s election day in the United States and its implications are huge. Races on every level will be on the ballot. Not to put it lightly we are voting for democracy, real individual rights and continuing to move the country forward. I’m voting today for those who want bodily autonomy, the freedom to love who they choose and to help those less fortunate. If you are registered get to your polling station and make your voice heard. It’s easy. Do it early today and get it done.
