Sometimes we say things we shouldn’t to important people. Perhaps there is a comment on a blog or Facebook we shouldn’t have posted. We all say things we don’t mean but are very sorry for. “Some Things Are Better Left Unsaid” is off the Big Bang Boom record by Hall and Oates from 1984.
This is a little newer than I post Flashback Friday videos but this song somehow crawled into my head today. Adele is a world class vocalist who can just flat out sing. She has achieved so much in her short career.
We danced to this tune last night at Zumba. Selena Gomez is a talented person with a great vocal range. I think she will have a great career ahead of her.
In the spirit of my fiddle picture I present to you Dexy’s Midnight Runners “Come On Eileen” which has a great fiddle arrangement throughout the tune. The fiddle is one of the great instrument in pop music because it can add some spark to any song. This particular song is one of the greats of the 1980’s.
Here is a total blast from the past. The Monkees were a big part of the TV and music scene in the mid-to-late 1960’s. NBC first introduced them to America as a group of four lads starting a band and the adventures that ensued. As a group they had some very memorable hits on the radio that has been played on radio and streaming audio for years.
Miley Cyrus is on the latest season of “The Voice – US Version” and I haven’t been the biggest fan of hers but she is growing on me as a person who is clear about who she is. This song is inspirational too.
