Six Word Story

Sometimes normal isn’t the important thing.

Thursday, March 3, 2016 – The Week Is Almost Done

Hey friends I hope you are having a great day. The weather here is yucky this afternoon but that seems to be the norm as of late. I am ready for some spring time weather I think. Winter seems to have come and gone without fanfare.

The weekend is coming up close. I am ready for it. Let’s finish the week strong.

Dreading Things You Have To Do

Some things you have to do in life are tough and messy. They have to be done though. It is kind of like removing a bandage from your skin. You know its going to be painful but you just have to grip and rip. Everyday has those moments when you dread doing things you hate. Everyone has that one thing they have to do but hate to do it. So no matter what unpleasant things  you have to get done today I hope you will do it with courage and some peace.

I have been trying to decide who I will support in the presidential election of 2016. Today is the time when we need to move forward and do things to bring all people into the fold. Today is a bonus day for the year. February 29th is a day that we see every four years. Like the elections but more fun.

I Believe In Inclusion

Speaking as a person who has been on the outside of life looking in I know the value of being included. It’s my personal goal to be as inclusive as possible with people in my life. Being excluded from things sucks if you ask me. It’s human nature to want to be valued and needed.

One thing I have learned from my experience is that life is too short not to enjoy life. A lot of people on the fringes would like that same experience and consideration. So many times in my life I have heard about situations where people were having fun and I wasn’t a part of it. I want to be sure that people in my life know they are welcome and that they are valued and wanted.
