It’s good to see bloggers returning to regular posting. Without you the community is not as great as it can be. Welcome back to all who are coming home. Keep on blogging my friends. See you soon on the WordPress reader.
Encourage bloggers to come back to posting when you can.
The extravagant expression of love, peace and grace is needed in this world, now more than ever. People need the extravagance of spiritual, emotional, psychological and financial security. Everyone should be afforded an extravagant piece of the pie.
Announcing my new and improved blog look for 2018. I have taken the four-year-old Twenty Fourteen and have tweaked the CSS to make it look very blue which is very me. I am a big fan of white font on dark backgrounds because I think its much easier to read and it gives it a certain style.
Twenty fourteen allows me to pull in my blogging community in a very effective way too because I am looking at making my blog the central social network for me in the coming year. Not only is my blog where I express myself its also a connection hub too for you the followers.
When you connect with me you get an authentic person who is kind, considerate (most times) and caring. I will always try to lift a person up. I am overly eager and a people pleaser. There will be no saying I am sorry for being nerdy, geeky and dorky. I am like a Labrador in that I am overly friendly. I will call you a friend even if we have met only a couple of times. The stuff I am passionate about like my heart is worn on my sleeves. When you get me you get someone who is flawed, faithful and awkward at times. Sometimes I am sad but always hopeful and positive. All I know how to be is myself and I hope that is enough for anyone who wants to be in my life. I will stand for the little guy and living in a just world for everyone. I am a believer in my higher power (God and that sort of thing) and its that faith that informs me to be who I am. I promote inclusion for others and hope the same for myself.
In short, what you see and read is what you get with me.
A Classic Tow Truck from The Towing & Recovery Hall of Fame & Museum, Chattanooga, TN
Tonight on the way home from dinner I came off a curb and my car’s muffler fell off its mounts. I couldn’t go any further so I had to call my insurance company to have them send a tow truck. This really nice guy that was dispatched to help me, got there assessed the problem and fixed my car on the spot. His experience and knowledge made the difference. This meant I didn’t have to go to a garage where they might have charged me to fix the problem.
My friends, you see towing and recovery trucks all over. Where there are cars there are people to help you out of a jam in case of an accident or doing something stupid like I did. These men and women are dedicated to their profession and they do it in sometimes dangerous conditions. Whenever you come across a tow truck operator thank them for what they do to keep people safe and to keep traffic flowing.
Right now students are sweating out the final exams of their university/college careers. They will walk across a stage to receive a degree that is the cumulation of years of hard work and sleepless nights. Other people are suffering burns of a certain degree that has changed their lives forever. Crimes are being committed of a certain degree of seriousness that will send someone to prison. The weather is measured in degrees. It seems that the word degree has a lot of uses and purposes depending on situations in life. Degree is also a brand of antiperspirant/deodorant that can keep people from sweating the small stuff or the big stuff.
