WordPress Almost A Week In

I have been “back” with WordPress for almost a week and I am daily impressed by the system of blogging and social engagement here. There are some great people I have connected with who are doing some great, original content. Built in commentary and the ability to like user posts make this a great system of content management, blogging and other cool things.

Will I continue to use WordPress? Yes I will. Will I abandon Tumblr? No. My plan is to use both in a way that each blog will have some similar and some different content. I do think WordPress is a superior blogging platform and its something I need to know more about because my work could call upon it. There is a culture of users here who are loyal and the opportunities to go to camps and workshops about blogging excites me.

Keep on blogging good people! Thanks for your connections.

To The WordPress Community

I have been impressed by what I have seen here the past few days. WordPress has some great people doing some great stuff online. I do have some questions about your experiences.

1. How often do you post? I tend to post a lot when I see things that inspire me. So its not uncommon for me to post 10 or more times in a day, is that too much? Is WordPress meant for fewer, more thought out posts?

2. The writers here are different than on Tumblr. I see a lot of indepth posts about various topics. My posts aren’t very long and that comes from my prior experiences with blogging.

3. What are your overall experiences with WordPress as a place where you can be social and develop connections with other bloggers? I have made friendships with people on other platforms like Multiply and now with Tumblr, What can I expect here?

If you have any other information you would like offer please do. Your perspective and opinion is appreciated. Thank you for all those who have connected with me in my very short time here.

WordPress Site Is Live

wordpress-logo.jpgOK, I am settled on a look and feel for my WordPress site. It resembles more of a traditional website which will make it look more professional but still inviting. My blog posts are easily available from the menu at the top of the page. I am looking forward to engaging socially with the folks here to see what they are like. Of course I am not abandoning my friends on Tumblr but adding to my experience in social media. Keep on blogging good people!

I have even downloaded the Android app so I can blog on the go! So my users can see what’s going on with me in real time and in real life.

Hello Fellow Bloggers

I am conducting some testing of WordPress and I want to know what you think about its social networking qualities and if you can establish connections with fellow bloggers. Currently I blog on Tumblr but I want to see what is different and similar. Your input is welcome.
