Hi there, my name is Tony Burgess (my friends call me T-Bird) from Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I am a believer, bleeding heart, idealist, and blogger. I'm married to Laura the Soup Diva and a dog dad to Frankie, Cody, and Mikey. Daily I work for a blood bank recruiting donors. My blog is where I chronicle and curate the sacred, serious, and silly things in my life. I am a member of The Episcopal Church. Thank you for connecting with me. Grace, peace, and love!

Rambling About Complaining

I complain about stuff, we all complain about stuff. Maybe we complain too much. Nothing in life will go our way all the time. We won’t get our way all the time either.  Maybe if we would make due with what we have and learn to adapt our situations could be better. It’s easier said than done in that situation. Sometimes complaining is an indication that we need to change our hearts and minds, do something different. Nothing stays the same so the more we embrace that fact the better our attitudes can be. How you learn to roll with the punches says something about you. So when you feel like complaining, is there something you can do to change the circumstances and situation you are in? Just a thought for the day.

May The Fourth Be With You

Celebrating a high-holy day in geek/nerd culture. Enjoy my friends.

Followers

I have just shy of 200 followers here. How many do you have? How many is too many?

Making connections is great but I don’t want to overwhelm myself like I did on Tumblr where I have 1500.

We Can Be Heroes

My heroes don’t wear capes. They serve and protect, fight fires, deliver babies, donate blood, teach our kids, serve their higher power and raise kids. People like this help keep the chaos at bay and usher in peace. They stand in the gap, they keep us safe. Avengers are not needed if we show that good can win the day. We can be heroes for more than just one day.

WordPress Is Socially Fantastic

I am really digging how social WordPress is. Here at the .com version they make it easy to make connections with fellow bloggers and to discover interesting things. The integrated comment system is quite good and secure. A great feature is one is able to link to self hosted WordPress sites which makes this a great platform for expression and discussion with a vast community. It’s been great meeting new folks here and establishing connections around the world. Yes I am digging this very much.
