What I Want To Be True: A Commentary

YouTube is a great place on the web but like anything you see on the Web you have to take with a grain of salt. In this time of pandemic you have to do your research and not let a video tell you something that might require more information. What we want to be true might not be what is factual. Be wary my friends. Accuracy is the difference in life and death these days.

The Thing About Recent Chaos

This is going to be one of those posts that is more of a reflection and recollection of very recent history.

A lot has happened in the first few months of 2020. Coronavirus has been with us for awhile. Last Sunday was Easter and tornadoes hit my city of Chattanooga, Tennessee with a natural fury. Weeks earlier it hit the cities of Nashville and Cookeville, Tennessee. It seems that would be plenty of stuff for a year let alone just four months or so.

There has been a lot of death and destruction this year. What is happening before our eyes is troubling and sad. In the midst of keeping people safe people are getting restless. People who lost everything are trying to figure out what to do next. For everyone this has been a time of taking in a lot of chaos and not having a lot of control over the circumstances.

The only thing about defeating chaos is to come together in community. Cooperating and collaborating. Being less individualistic and being more of a team player. Whether it be sheltering at home or cleaning up the remains from a storm its about being defiant in your love for those who share this life and space with you.

Now is a time to realize that chaos is always with us but we have a choice to react to it and meet it head on. There is not a easy solution and it will take time to make it through. No matter what you have to answer the call and see what your response to it will be.

Being Serious As Of Late #Coronavirus

The world has changed a bit in the past few weeks. We are taking the Coronavirus seriously and our lives in the same manner. My posts have been reflective of the feelings many of us are having. In blogging content is king and my approach is to post when inspiration strikes and for me its several times a day.

It is my hope that you will continue to follow along despite the serious tones. For many of us blogging helps us make sense of life and to connect with the world. Thanks for your following and I hope I can be of help in some way to you. Service is something you take seriously.

Keep on blogging my friends. You have an audience looking for things to read and do.

We Can’t Return To Normal

We cannot return to normal because what was normal has failed us. A health care system built on profit and balance sheet instead of the care of human beings. So many people are dying not just of Coronavirus in a place where many profess to cherish life. Health is a human right given to us from a creator who loves each one of us. Holding on the notion that you can be cured if you have the financial resources is morally wrong in every way. Instead of thinking about excuses as to why we can’t have a new way forward to care for the children of God come up solutions as to making it happen. My friends I don’t want to go back to what we had because its killing people. I value people and life and love above anything else and you should too.

Coronavirus Commentary

The global crisis we face is one based upon science, technology, medicine and yep a little bit of faith. Investing in all of those things is what is going to bring about a treatment for the Coronavirus. For those who are wondering when this will be over, I don’t know No one knows. We have to ride this thing out for as long as it takes. Worrying about the economy is worrying about the wrong thing. Everyone is going to take a hit of some sort. Life will be unpleasant at times. People will die, people will survive. The chase for instant gratification is a fool’s errand. It’s going to be a rough ride.
